Hi! I am Sayak Bera.

I am a PhD Scholar at the Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) Dept. of IIT Kanpur, specializing in Space Borne Computation: Distributed ML Model Training & Earth Imaging based on Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR). I am working with Prof. Amitangshu Pal.

Before joining PhD I served as an Assistant Professor at CSE Dept. of Techno India University.

I did my Masters in CSE from Jadavpur University, where my thesis was supervised by Prof. Debotosh Bhattacharjee.

Although research is my primary focus, this space is designed to capture all aspects of my work—from distributed computation in the lab to the rhythms of Indian Classical music and the photographic moments captured through my lens.
